Quick takeaway
AthX Engine team fantasy point projections power the numbers below (published March 25, 2026). In each division, the highest projected team is our lean for the flag. For wild cards, we take the top three non–division winners in each league using the same projection column.
This is one way to read AthX team data, not betting advice and not a promise about October. Share prices follow dynamic pricing. Team projections describe expected season-long team fantasy scoring on AthX.
What these numbers are
Team fantasy points reward wins and runs scored, and they ding losses and runs allowed. Same idea as in our pillar on how MLB season projections work. AthX Engine gives each MLB club a projected full-season team total. We sort divisions and wild-card races from that number.
The tables use AthX Engine team projections as of March 25, 2026.
How AthX Engine treats teams
AthX Engine is not reading press clips to hand out division titles. For teams, it starts from wins, losses, runs scored, and runs allowed grounded in recent seasons, then scores the year the same way the platform scores real games: wins and runs help; losses and runs allowed hurt. The big number in each row is projected team fantasy points for the season. The full story matches how MLB season projections work: recent seasons weigh heavily, older seasons add stability.
So these ranks favor clubs AthX Engine expects to score and prevent runs over a full schedule—not a one-week hot streak. When we say AthX Engine “leans” a team, we mean that projected team total ranks first in the division or wild-card stack. We are not quoting Vegas lines or MLB strength-of-schedule sheets.
What jumps off the page
League ceilings: AthX Engine has the highest team projection in baseball on the Dodgers (1194.4), and the Yankees (1080.7) on top in the AL. A big chunk of the league sits in the ~800–1050 band. A few clubs sit much lower in projected team points.
Tightest race: NL Central is basically a toss-up. The Cubs are 1035.1 vs. the Brewers 1028.1—about seven points apart. Either side could move the next time AthX Engine updates projections after a meaningful stat or roster change.
Clearest gaps: NL West has the Dodgers well clear of the Diamondbacks (904.5) and Padres (871.9). AL East shows the Yankees ~100+ points up on the Red Sox and Blue Jays—AthX Engine reads the division as top-heavy on team fantasy output, even if real baseball tightens the race.
AL Central: The Tigers (928.8) lead the next club (Royals, 770.0) by ~160 points. That is a wide spread, not a photo finish.
Wild cards: In the AL, the Red Sox and Blue Jays bunch near 960–976, ahead of other non-winners except the Rangers (871.1) in the wild-card mix. In the NL, the Brewers look like a division contender in a lot of leagues; here they sit in the wild-card picture because the Cubs are slightly ahead in AthX Engine team points.
American League
AL East
| Team | Proj. team FP |
|---|---|
| New York Yankees | 1080.7 |
| Boston Red Sox | 975.7 |
| Toronto Blue Jays | 960.6 |
| Tampa Bay Rays | 840.1 |
| Baltimore Orioles | 761.1 |
Division lean: New York Yankees. AthX Engine has the Yankees first among the five here; Boston and Toronto still project as strong team-fantasy clubs in absolute terms—enough to show up again in the wild-card stack below.
AL Central
| Team | Proj. team FP |
|---|---|
| Detroit Tigers | 928.8 |
| Kansas City Royals | 770.0 |
| Minnesota Twins | 731.0 |
| Cleveland Guardians | 723.5 |
| Chicago White Sox | 554.3 |
Division lean: Detroit Tigers. On paper this is the widest in-division spread in the AL in these tables: Detroit’s projected team total leads the field by a big margin.
AL West
| Team | Proj. team FP |
|---|---|
| Seattle Mariners | 980.5 |
| Texas Rangers | 871.1 |
| Houston Astros | 838.3 |
| Athletics | 690.3 |
| Los Angeles Angels | 590.4 |
Division lean: Seattle Mariners. AthX Engine ranks Seattle first among the five; Texas and Houston still show strong projected team totals in the mid-to-high 800s, which matters when you line up wild-card candidates after removing division winners.
AL Wild Card (three spots)
Division winners above: Yankees, Tigers, Mariners. Among everyone else in the AL, the three highest projected team totals:
1. Boston Red Sox — 975.7 2. Toronto Blue Jays — 960.6 3. Texas Rangers — 871.1

Division lean: Philadelphia Phillies. The Mets and Braves are not far behind in projected team points—both reappear in the NL wild-card list.
NL Central
| Team | Proj. team FP |
|---|---|
| Chicago Cubs | 1035.1 |
| Milwaukee Brewers | 1028.1 |
| Cincinnati Reds | 811.6 |
| St. Louis Cardinals | 691.2 |
| Pittsburgh Pirates | 666.7 |
Division lean: Chicago Cubs — narrow edge over Milwaukee in these numbers.

|---|---|
| Los Angeles Dodgers | 1194.4 |
| Arizona Diamondbacks | 904.5 |
| San Diego Padres | 871.9 |
| San Francisco Giants | 815.6 |
| Colorado Rockies | 307.0 |
Division lean: Los Angeles Dodgers. Here AthX Engine shows the largest team projection in the sport in this piece—and a big cushion over the rest of the division by team fantasy points.
NL Wild Card (three spots)
Division winners: Phillies, Cubs, Dodgers. Next three highest in the NL:
1. Milwaukee Brewers — 1028.1 2. New York Mets — 964.4 3. Atlanta Braves — 929.3

Below is a deeper read on the twelve teams AthX Engine places in the division-winner and wild-card mix above. Path tells you whether we have them winning the division or sliding in as a wild card. 2025 look-back uses each team’s recent season in our data (wins, losses, runs) for context only. Names to watch are the highest projected AthX fantasy point getters on that roster right now (rotation-heavy clubs will lean SP; balanced clubs mix bats and arms). Player lists reflect AthX marketplace rosters and projections, not a national media depth chart. Always open the player or team page before you trade.
Division winners
New York Yankees — AL East · 1080.7 team FP. AthX Engine has them on top of the East. In our data they are coming off a 94–68 style season with 849 runs scored in 2025. The story on AthX is star power and run prevention in the team model. Names to watch: Aaron Judge, Max Fried, Cody Bellinger, Clarke Schmidt, Carlos Rodón.
Detroit Tigers — AL Central · 928.8. AthX Engine opens a wide gap on the rest of the division in team fantasy points. Recent team history in our data: 87–75 in 2025 with 758 runs. Names to watch: Tarik Skubal, Framber Valdez, Reese Olson, Gleyber Torres, Riley Greene.
Seattle Mariners — AL West · 980.5. AthX Engine tabs Seattle first in the West. 90–72 and 766 runs in 2025 in our team history. Names to watch: Cal Raleigh, Bryan Woo, Julio Rodriguez, Josh Naylor, Logan Gilbert.
Philadelphia Phillies — NL East · 1030.0. AthX Engine has Philadelphia edging the Mets and Braves in team points. 96–66 with 778 runs in 2025 in our data. Names to watch: Cristopher Sánchez, Kyle Schwarber, Zack Wheeler, Trea Turner, Jesús Luzardo.
Chicago Cubs — NL Central · 1035.1. AthX Engine gives the Cubs a razor-thin edge over Milwaukee in team points, so this race is worth watching all summer. 92–70 in 2025 in our data. Names to watch: Nico Hoerner, Michael Busch, Pete Crow-Armstrong, Alex Bregman, Matthew Boyd.
Los Angeles Dodgers — NL West · 1194.4. AthX Engine shows the highest team projection in baseball here. 93–69 with 825 runs in 2025 in our data. Names to watch: Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, Kyle Tucker, Yoshinobu Yamamoto, Freddie Freeman.
Wild cards
Boston Red Sox — AL wild card · 975.7. Still 89 wins in 2025 in our team history, so AthX Engine sees real quality even behind the Yankees. Names to watch: Garrett Crochet, Tanner Houck, Jarren Duran, Sonny Gray, Aroldis Chapman.
Toronto Blue Jays — AL wild card · 960.6. 94–68 with 798 runs in 2025 in our data. Names to watch: Vladimir Guerrero Jr., Kevin Gausman, George Springer, Dylan Cease, José Berríos.
Texas Rangers — AL wild card · 871.1. 81–81 in 2025 in our data, so AthX Engine is betting on the run-prevention and star mix more than last year’s record on its own. Names to watch: Jordan Montgomery, Jacob deGrom, Nathan Eovaldi, Brandon Nimmo, Corey Seager.
Milwaukee Brewers — NL wild card · 1028.1. 97–65 in 2025 in our data, so this club looks like a division winner on paper that lands in the wild-card stack only because the Cubs edge them in team points. Names to watch: Christian Yelich, Brice Turang, Abner Uribe, Jackson Chourio, William Contreras.
New York Mets — NL wild card · 964.4. 83–79 in 2025 in our data, but AthX Engine likes the star bats and arms enough to keep them in the mix. Names to watch: Juan Soto, Francisco Lindor, Freddy Peralta, Dedniel Núñez, Reed Garrett.
Atlanta Braves — NL wild card · 929.3. 76–86 in 2025 in our data, so the team projection is picking up bounce-back and talent more than last year’s final column. Names to watch: Ronald Acuña Jr., Spencer Schwellenbach, Matt Olson, Joe Jiménez, Ozzie Albies.
