Schwarber's two homers led every hitter on the slate, and Alonso's two-homer game wasn't far behind. Both came in games that needed extra innings or a late rally to settle, a reminder that the biggest individual nights don't always come in the most lopsided scores.

What stood out
Sunday rewarded arms who missed bats and lineups that turned one big inning into a laugher. Manaea and Schlittler both struck out 11, and neither Braves-Yankees nor Mets-Pirates finished the same way its previous night had. Extra innings showed up twice, in Philadelphia and the Bronx, both times settling series that had opened with a different kind of tight finish.
The team board rewarded blowouts more than grinders. Miami, New York, and Chicago all cleared 21 team points on comfortable wins, while Philadelphia's 12-inning survival act was worth barely half that despite producing the biggest individual hitting line of the day.
