Orioles 10, Rangers 5: Pete Alonso Homers Twice in a Four-Homer Rout

Four home runs, two from Alonso alone, turned a game Texas had briefly made interesting back into a laugher.

A bullpen finishes what the lineup started

Baltimore starter Chayce Povich didn't have his best stuff, three earned runs in three innings, but the offense made sure it never mattered. Reliever Yeriel Hiraldo took over and delivered two scoreless innings to keep Texas from building any real momentum, and the Rangers' final push, two runs in the ninth, arrived too late to matter against a five-run cushion.

Texas got a strong story from Nimmo's blast, but one big swing wasn't enough to overcome a Baltimore lineup that kept finding the same right-field seats all afternoon.
