Mickey Gasper homered twice in Miami on August 25, then watched Jarren Duran finish the game with a grand slam in the 11th. That night was the loudest swing of a stretch that already had Gasper first among hitters.

This is a 10-day board, not a season ranking. Ten days can crown a part-time looking name. They can also bury a shortstop who is still in the lineup every night. Sibling boards: pitchers and teams.
The heat: Gasper's five homers, then PCA
Gasper played eight games. He hit 10 hits, 5 homers, 12 RBI, 6 runs, and struck out once. His window included homers on August 17, 18, and 19, then the two-homer night in the Red Sox' 7-3 win in 11 innings. That is not a one-game spike with empty days around it. Boston went 7-2 in the same window and finished second in team fantasy points.
Crow-Armstrong stayed loud for the Cubs: 8 games, 10 hits, 6 homers, 10 RBI, 7 runs, 2 steals. He led the last 10-day hitter board's supporting cast in August. He is still here. The Cubs went 4-5 this time. PCA did not wait on the standings.
Walker is the Cardinals problem and the Cardinals answer in one row. St. Louis got buried 13-1 on Tuesday. Walker still sits third on the hitter board (10 games, 14 hits, 4 HR, 12 RBI, 10 runs). A 10-day hitter list is allowed to ignore the club's worst night.
The names behind them
Cal Raleigh hit 6 homers in 9 games (45 FP) while Seattle allowed 67 runs as a team. That split is the whole Mariners week. Bobby Witt Jr., Pete Alonso, and Fernando Tatis Jr. tied at 43. Alonso's 4-for-4 in the Orioles' 13-1 win was one night. The other seven games did the rest.
Tristan Peters (42 FP) and Zach Neto (41) kept White Sox and Angels bats on a board their clubs did not dominate. Rafael Devers is the reversal from the last 10-day piece. He sat on the cold list at 4 FP through August 12. He has 38 hitting FP in this window (4 HR, 10 runs). Ten days flip. That is the point of publishing the next one.

The freeze: still in the lineup

Brandon Nimmo is the name that should bother Texas: 9 games, 4 hits, 0 homers, 2 RBI, 1 run, 10 strikeouts, 1 hitting FP. Jonathan Aranda matched him at 1 FP in 10 games for Tampa Bay (6 hits, 14 strikeouts).
Trea Turner is the headline cold name, because the Phillies went 7-2 in the window and still got 2 hitting FP from their shortstop (5 hits, 0 HR, 9 K in 8 games). Philadelphia can win without him. The hitter board does not care.
Julio Rodriguez finished at 3 FP in 9 games (6 hits, 1 HR, 16 strikeouts) while Raleigh sat fourth on the hot list. Same Mariners club. Opposite 10 days. Austin Riley had 7 hits, 0 homers, and 15 strikeouts in 9 games (3 FP).

Cold rank 1 is the lowest FP among qualified hitters. Ten days is a small sample. It is still a sample of games they played.
What 10 days actually tell you
Gasper won because five homers in eight games is a scoring event, and he did not strike out his way out of it. Crow-Armstrong won the power version of the same assignment on a .500 Cubs club. Turner lost because a 7-2 Phillies week still left him at 2 hitting FP.
Devers is the caution in the other direction. The last board had him frozen. This one has him 10th. If you only remember the previous 10 days, you miss the next 38 points.
