What stood out
Williams's 35 points sat in a different sport from everyone else. Seven innings and 13 strikeouts will do that. Minnesota's 31 team points were the lineup version of the same idea: one inning that would not end.
Saggese beating Lewis is the other argument. Two homers in Dodger Stadium beat a 3-for-4 with a homer in a 15-2 win. The board counted the extra homer. Betts ranking with 11 in a loss is the same rule on the other side.
