Week 6 ended with San Francisco still unbeaten and Kansas City still the last unbeaten club in the AFC. New Orleans scored 34 unanswered, then hung on. Houston won in London as time expired. Tennessee got off 0-5 with a blocked punt. Arizona won at SoFi without a touchdown. AthX Engine (our projection and scoring system) already has the weekly lines. The team board is 30-point afternoons. The player board is still takeaways.
Thursday in Denver is already up. So are six Sunday recaps from Monday's batch. This Top 10 covers the rest of the week through Washington at San Francisco. Browns-Ravens waits for a leftover run.
Top team fantasy scores
AthX Engine team points pay a win, then points scored, then points allowed. A 34-27 game jumps the board. A 13-10 slog does not.
| Rank | Team | Score | AthX Engine FP |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | New Orleans Saints | 34-27 at NYG | 79.25 |
| 2 | Chicago Bears | 31-23 at ATL | 76.75 |
| 3 | Kansas City Chiefs | 22-6 vs LAC | 75.50 |
| 4 | Houston Texans | 34-31 vs JAX | 74.25 |
| 5 | Carolina Panthers | 25-14 at PHI | 73.00 |
| 6 | Buffalo Bills | 33-30 at LV | 73.00 |
| 7 | New England Patriots | 26-19 vs NYJ | 69.25 |
| 8 | Pittsburgh Steelers | 26-19 at TB | 69.25 |
| 9 | Green Bay Packers | 23-13 vs DAL | 69.25 |
| 10 | Tennessee Titans | 26-20 at IND | 68.00 |
New Orleans's 79.25 is the week because 34 points on the road still pay after a 10-0 hole. Chicago is next on Caleb Williams's return. Kansas City's 22-6 is third: a win and 16 points of margin beat a wilder 33-30 on this card. San Francisco's Monday night (64.25) sits just outside. The 49ers are 6-0. Minnesota is 5-0 on a bye. Those are the last two unbeaten clubs in the NFC.
Top skill players
QB, RB, WR, TE, K only. The IDP board is the next table.
| Rank | Player | Pos | Team | AthX Engine FP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Trevor Lawrence | QB | JAX | 49.23 |
| 2 | Kenneth Walker III | RB | KC | 47.75 |
| 3 | Malik Nabers | WR | NYG | 47.25 |
| 4 | James Cook | RB | BUF | 45.75 |
| 5 | Chad Ryland | K | ARI | 44.00 |
| 6 | Christian McCaffrey | RB | SF | 43.75 |
| 7 | Tyler Shough | QB | NO | 43.52 |
| 8 | Drake Maye | QB | NE | 42.80 |
| 9 | Jonathan Taylor | RB | IND | 42.75 |
| 10 | C.J. Stroud | QB | HOU | 42.21 |
Lawrence threw four scores in a London loss and still leads the skill board. Walker ran for 128 and two in a 22-6 win. Nabers caught 12 for 165 after the Saints had already piled up 34. Cook was clean after the fumbles in Inglewood. Ryland made six field goals and won the game. McCaffrey scored twice on Monday night.
Shough's 43.52 is a 34-point road win with a rushing score. Maye threw three at Gillette. Taylor ran for 94 and a score in a loss. Stroud's 312 yards and the walk-off in London sit 10th. Isaiah Likely (41.75) and Joey Slye (40.00) are next.
Top IDP
Sacks and takeaways move this board more than tackle volume. Interceptions move it more than either on the DB table.
| Rank | Player | Pos | Team | AthX Engine FP |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Martin Emerson | CB | NO | 99.50 |
| 2 | Jeffery Simmons | DT | TEN | 81.00 |
| 3 | Jamel Dean | CB | PIT | 68.00 |
| 4 | Jermaine Johnson II | DE | TEN | 66.00 |
| 5 | Kris Abrams-Draine | CB | DEN | 64.00 |
| 6 | Travis Hunter | CB | JAX | 63.25 |
| 7 | Amani Hooker | SAF | TEN | 61.50 |
| 8 | Ja'Quan McMillian | CB | DEN | 59.50 |
| 9 | George Karlaftis | DE | KC | 52.00 |
| 10 | Quentin Lake | SAF | LA | 51.50 |
Emerson's two interceptions in East Rutherford lead the entire Week 6 player board, skill included. Simmons's two sacks, forced fumble, and recovery in Indianapolis are next. Dean's pick set up Pittsburgh in overtime. Johnson matched two sacks on the same Titans front. Abrams-Draine and McMillian are still on the board from Thursday in Denver. Hunter's receiving touchdown and interception in London are 63.25.
That is the IDP card. You can wreck a pocket in a 26-20 comeback and still sit behind a corner who picked off two.
From the Week 6 card
Six recaps from this leftover-and-Monday batch:
Monday's Sunday recaps are already up: Texans 34, Jaguars 31, Bears 31, Falcons 23, Saints 34, Giants 27, Bills 33, Raiders 30, Panthers 25, Eagles 14, Steelers 26, Buccaneers 19. Thursday night: Broncos 17, Seahawks 14.
What stood out
Three things, not fifteen rows.
First, the team board is not only shootouts. Kansas City's 22-6 is third because a win plus points allowed still pay. Tennessee's first win is 10th on a blocked punt and four Slye makes. Arizona's 18-16 without a touchdown is 53.00, outside the cut, and still the story of the late window.
Second, the skill board is split between losing volume and winning backs. Lawrence and Nabers piled up points in losses. Walker, Cook, McCaffrey, and Maye did it in wins. Ryland's six makes are the kicker exception.
Third, AthX Engine still pays the secondary and the interior line first. Emerson at 99.50 is the weekly leader, not Lawrence. Simmons at 81.00 is next. If you only read passing yards, you will misread this marketplace.
