Giants 11, Nationals 10: Eldridge Walk-Off Slam Caps Historic Rally

The lead

June 10, 2026 - San Francisco - Bryce Eldridge hit a walk-off grand slam in the ninth, Matt Chapman went 4-for-5 with two homers and three RBIs, and the San Francisco Giants scored 10 runs over the final two innings in an 11-10 win over the Washington Nationals, per the Associated Press recap on CBS Sports.

Chapman topped the June 10 hitting leaderboard at 17 FP in AthX Engine scoring.

How the game turned

Washington built an 8-run lead by the seventh. The Giants trailed 10-6 entering the bottom of the ninth after Daylen Lile homered for the Nationals in the top half.

Chapman and Rafael Devers hit back-to-back homers in the eighth. In the ninth, Luis Arraez and Chapman doubled, Devers walked, and Eldridge crushed a 2-0 slider from Mitchell Parker for a grand slam.

Pitching and matchup notes

Ryan Sanmartin (1-0) earned the win in relief. Parker (2-3) took the loss after allowing the walk-off slam.

The Giants became the first team to win on a walk-off grand slam after trailing by at least eight runs entering the eighth inning, per MLB.com.

Bats that changed the board

Chapman's 17 FP night was the hitter headline on a card full of pitching gems. Eldridge's slam was the moment, but Chapman's 4-for-5 line drove most of the fantasy value.

AthX Engine fantasy angle

AthX Engine graded San Francisco at 15 team FP in a comeback that spread value across Chapman, Devers, and the late-inning rally. Historic comebacks register in daily scoring even when the final margin is one run, separate from dynamic pricing.

What comes next

The Giants and Nationals finish the series Thursday at Oracle Park, per the MLB schedule.
