October 20, 2026 - Montreal - Jakub Dobes went out to settle a puck. The arm went up. Interference on Collin Graf at 1:53 of overtime. 3-1 after a goal you will see again

Celebrini opened it at 13:49 of the first. Will Smith's forecheck left Jake Evans's pass floating into the slot. Celebrini walked in and flipped it over Dobes' right arm. 1-0.

Slafkovský put Montreal in front at 1:25 of the second. He flipped it past Darnell Nurse, recovered it, and tucked it around Nedeljkovic across the crease. 2-1.

Caufield made it 3-1 at 14:03, a snap off Suzuki from behind the net.

Caufield told NHL.com Dobes is a competitor trying to settle the puck, and you cannot give that group a power play in overtime. Slafkovský told NHL.com Montreal kept San Jose away from the net for two periods, then they got pretty much whatever they wanted.

Two power-play looks, then the winner

Misa cut it to 3-2 at 5:36 of the third. He got behind Noah Dobson and finished Kiefer Sherwood. The Associated Press recap also credited a Hutson turnover on that sequence. Misa had hit the post earlier in the period, that same recap said.

Toffoli tied it at 11:09 on the power play, a one-timer in the slot off Celebrini's one-touch from the right circle. Xhekaj was in the box for unsportsmanlike conduct, the AP recap said. 3-3.

The NHL recap said it was his fourth overtime goal, tying Ilya Kovalchuk and Sean Monahan for the most by an NHL player 20 or younger.
