Jaguars 35, Patriots 6: Lawrence, Hunter, and a Home Rout

September 27, 2026 - Jacksonville - Drake Maye's fumble sat on the grass with nobody near him. DaVon Hamilton fell on it. Ten plays later, Trevor Lawrence flipped 12 yards to rookie Josh Cameron. EverBank Stadium had the game it wanted after Denver.

The Jacksonville Jaguars beat the New England Patriots 35-6 and never trailed. Jacksonville is 2-1 and has won six straight regular-season home games. New England, last season's AFC champion, is 1-2. Drake Maye left in the fourth with the game already gone.

Lawrence completed 19 of 29 for 182 yards and three scores. The Jaguars wrap listed him with no interceptions. nflverse and the AP recap both have one pick, a deflection off Brenton Strange that Marcus Jones returned to the Jacksonville 21. We are using the weekly file and the AP account for that throw.

14-3, an end-zone pick, then 18 seconds

Hamilton's recovery came with 3:52 left in the first. Cameron finished the 62-yard answer at 13:29 of the second. Andy Borregales hit from 35 after Jones's interception and made it 7-3. Lawrence drove 65 yards in nine plays and found Jakobi Meyers from 10. 14-3, 4:23 left in the half. That throw moved Lawrence past Blake Bortles into second on the franchise career passing-touchdown list at 104.

Maye then threw into coverage from the 2 on third-and-goal. Travis Hunter, mostly a corner on this snap, intercepted it in the end zone with 1:02 left in the half. It was Hunter's first career interception. AP noted he had five offensive snaps and has one catch and one carry on the season. Liam Coen did not force him onto the other side of the ball.

The third quarter ended the argument. Parker Washington caught a 17-yard score on third-and-goal, a low ball he scooped after a 15-play, 72-yard grind. 21-3, 1:08 remaining. On the next snap from scrimmage, Jarrian Jones intercepted Maye and ran 32 yards. Chris Rodriguez Jr. scored from 5. 28-3, :50 left in the third. Two Jacksonville touchdowns, 18 seconds of game clock between the Washington catch and the Rodriguez run if you count the possession change.

Borregales made a 40-yarder. Bhayshul Tuten punched in from a yard at 8:02 of the fourth. 35-6. Lawrence sat. Tommy DeVito finished for New England.

Maye's third messy Sunday

Maye went 14 of 25 for 199 yards, no touchdowns, two interceptions, and the lost fumble. ESPN's Week 3 desk had him at 10 games with multiple turnovers since 2024, tied for the most in the league in that span. He has one touchdown pass and six interceptions through three games after 31 and eight last year. AP described a third-and-goal throw into Hunter and a pass that sailed to Jarrian Jones.

Mack Hollins led New England with six catches for 87. Rhamondre Stevenson ran seven times for 22. The Patriots managed two field goals. Jacksonville converted 8 of 12 third downs and scored on all five trips inside the New England 20, per Coen.

Tuten ran 15 times for 73 and the last score. Rodriguez added eight for 37 and his touchdown. Ruke Orhorhoro had a sack. Hamilton shared another with Bryan Thomas Jr. after the team sack on Maye's fumble. Travon Walker talked about finishing after the Denver collapse. The Jaguars visit Cincinnati next.

AthX Engine on a 35-6 home afternoon

AthX Engine NFL scoring already has the Week 3 lines in. Marcus Jones's interception lands at 54.05, the top total in this game because the DB card pays 30 for a pick. Jarrian Jones is 44.00. Hunter is 42.00. Lawrence is 36.81. DaVon Hamilton is 33.50. Tuten is 29.50. Jacksonville's team line is 108.00, the high for the week.

Fantasy points measure the box. Price is what traders will pay after Lawrence hit three receivers and Maye turned it over again. They move together. They are not the same number.

Track Lawrence, Maye, Meyers, Washington, and both clubs on the marketplace. Jacksonville visits Cincinnati on Oct. 4. New England visits Buffalo that afternoon.
